    Contract | 13–20 Weeks | Days | 5x8 Hours | Monday–Friday Block Schedule (No Weekends, No On-Call)

    Key Responsibilities
    • Assess patients' nutritional status and develop appropriate medical nutrition therapy care plans for a complex inpatient and outpatient population, including TPN patients, short gut, GI complications, post-trauma, and infant tube-feed-to-oral transition cases
    • Provide nutrition counseling and education to patients and caregivers, including facilitating group classes related to healthy eating and weight management
    • Work collaboratively within an outpatient clinic setting alongside physicians to assess patients with weight management challenges
    • Document all recommendations and treatment plans in the patient's electronic medical record in accordance with facility policy
    • Participate in interdisciplinary rounds with medical, nursing, and rehabilitation staff and coordinate care across the multidisciplinary team
    • Support outpatient programs including feeding day programs, clinics, nutritional rehabilitation, and individual nutrition appointments
    Required Qualifications
    • Minimum of a Master's degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or a related field, including completion of required coursework and a Dietetic Internship (candidates who successfully passed the CDR exam prior to 1/1/2024 may qualify with a Bachelor's degree plus required coursework and Dietetic Internship completion)
    • Active Maryland Dietitian licensure required at time of submission
    • Registration with the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (CDR credential) required
    • Must maintain a permanent address of 50 or more miles from the facility to be eligible
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Minimum of 2 years of pediatric dietitian experience strongly preferred
    • Adult dietitian experience will also be considered in lieu of pediatric background
    • Experience with complex GI diagnoses, TPN management, and/or tube feeding protocols
