- Advanced knowledge of adult learning theory
- Exceptional attention to detail, time management, and organization skills
- Solid knowledge of computer applications, including Microsoft Office Suite and electronic medical records
Description:
Registered Dietician Diabetes Educator needed.
Provides diabetes self-management education and medical nutrition therapy to individuals, families, and groups.
Manages the care of distinct patient populations through assessment of educational needs and nutritional guidelines.
Coordinates patient care in collaboration with other healthcare providers to develop effective individualized protocols.
Empowers patients with techniques and behavior modifications to help control their disease and improve their quality of life.
Demonstrates clinical judgment and technical skills in the diabetes education specialty field.
Teaches insulin administration and medication profiles.
Assists with diabetes technology education.
Contributes to staff education and onboarding of new staff.
Reinforces policies and procedures to improve patient care.
Involves in readmission task force team for patients with dysglycemia.
Offers assistance with technology, including continuous glucose monitors and insulin pumps.
Maintains knowledge of equipment related to diabetes management.
Provides comprehensive education tailored to the needs of the patient population, including older adults and those with gestational diabetes.
