Position Summary:
Travel Diesel / Trailer EV Technician - Fontana CA (West Coast)
$36.00 - $42.00 hr | Weekly Pay | Full Benefits within 30 Days
Amerit Fleet Solutions, a leader in fleet maintenance across the U.S., is hiring a skilled EV Diesel & Auto Travel Technician to join our team in Fontana CA. Mainly West Coast diesel, but willing to travel up to 10 days at a time. Supporting Travel Diesel / Trailer EV Technician. Will mainly cover the West Coast. Preferred out of Fontana CA when not traveling; can work out of the Fontana shop. EV is a plus

Shift: Monday - Friday (Flexible with some weekend travel required)

This is a Travel Tech position that requires 5+ years of diesel experience. This role requires flexibility, as travel may be scheduled on short notice and can result in sudden changes to your work schedule. Candidates should be comfortable adapting to shifting priorities and working in fast-paced, dynamic, and sometimes ambiguous environments.
Pay & Schedule
Pay: $36.00 – $42.00/hour (based on experience)
Pay Frequency: Weekly pay – every Friday
Shift: Monday - Friday (Flexible with some weekend travel required)

What You’ll Do
- Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on light, medium, and heavy-duty repairs on EV.
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues
- Conduct inspections to ensure vehicles meet safety and compliance standards
- Accurately document repairs and complete work orders
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including your tools and equipment
- Follow all safety procedures and company policies
- Collaborate with supervisors and team members to support fleet operations
- Non travel weeks will be spent working at the client shops listed above.
- Working closely with Fleet Managers and Senior Fleet Managers.
- Perform other duties as required
- Up to 100% travel time
What We’re Looking For
- 5+ years’ of hands-on experience performing Travel Diesel / Trailer EV Technician.
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to own and maintain the personal tools and toolbox required for the role
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Willingness and ability to meet the physical demands of the position (detailed below)
- Ability to successfully pass a DOT physical if required for the role

This role involves working in a mobile and or shop environment that may include exposure to dust, diesel fumes, noise, and mechanical irritants such as oils and greases. Technicians must be able to perform essential functions that include lifting heavy objects, accessing tight spaces, and bending, stooping, crouching, or crawling as needed to complete repairs.
