Care Career is seeking a travel nurse RN Dialysis for a travel nursing job in Greensboro, North Carolina.
Travel Hemodialysis RN assignment, 13-week contract, 3x12-hour shifts, source lists both 6:30 AM-7:00 PM day shift and 6:30 PM-7:00 AM night shift, rotating weekends, Sunday night call required, self-scheduling, float required across 3 Cone Health campuses, approximately 3 patients per nurse, adult and geriatric population, average 20 dialysis orders daily, 10-bed department with 9 treatment bays and 1 Hepatitis B isolation room, provides hemodialysis, peritoneal dialysis and apheresis 24/7, patients include ESRD, AKI, metabolic imbalances, dialysis access problems, drug overdoses and acute medical-surgical or critical care conditions, apheresis patients include neurologic, renal and hematologic/oncologic conditions, telemetry monitoring required when indicated, ICU bedside dialysis for hemodynamically unstable patients, peritoneal dialysis performed at bedside, Epic charting, Tablo dialysis devices, Baxter Amia PD devices and Spectra Optia apheresis devices, 40 hours of orientation.
Required: Minimum 2 years experience, ACLS and BLS, active RN license in hand at submission, Epic experience, hemodialysis experience, acute care inpatient dialysis experience, ability to cannulate AV fistulas and AV grafts, manage tunneled/non-tunneled catheters and vascular access complications, perform hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis/CAPD, apheresis experience, manage blood and blood products, anticoagulation, ultrafiltration, dialysate and blood flow rates, dialysis alarms, hypotension, hyperkalemia, fluid overload, air emboli, hemolysis, blood leaks and disequilibrium syndrome, interpret and manage dysrhythmias, provide cardiac arrest/CPR and airway management, willingness to float across all 3 Cone Health campuses, Sunday night call, rotating weekends, and self-scheduling. RTO must be submitted with application with no post-submission RTO accepted, no local candidates within 50 miles, current driver's license required for address verification, third-party education verification required, no open background cases, COVID-19 vaccination required with medical/religious exemptions only, flu vaccination required with medical/religious exemptions only, compliance EKG exam required with 2 attempts allowed. Preferred: Previous Charge RN experience, community hospital, LTAC or Trauma Level I/II experience. Pre-approved RTO is limited to 2 days.
