License: CPR card, X-ray training or certification. Certifications: CPR card, X-ray training or certification. Must-Have: Completion of an accredited Dental Assistant program or one year of hands-on experience. Description: As an Orthodontic Assistant, you will play a key role in delivering exceptional patient care. You will assist the doctor in orthodontic procedures, treatment planning, and patient education. You will help maintain a well-organized practice by preparing treatment rooms and sterilizing instruments. Your responsibilities include assisting in procedures and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards. You will prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments for orthodontic procedures. You will assist the doctor with patient treatment, positioning instruments, and handling orthodontic appliances. Educating patients on treatment plans, post-procedure care, and oral hygiene is also part of your role. You will manage patient scheduling and assist with front-office tasks as needed. Supporting staff with treatment planning, billing, and insurance matters is expected. You will ensure accurate submission of expenses and invoices. Maintaining office inventory, including supplies and equipment, will be part of your daily tasks. You will address patient and employee concerns professionally. Contributing to a positive, team-oriented work environment is essential.
