We are looking for a Dental Assistant to assist our clinical team.
This role provides a high level of patient care and satisfaction while operating in a team-based environment.
The Dental Assistant will handle a variety of clinical duties for dental office operations that range in complexity and skill.
There is plenty of room for learning and growth in this position.
All aspects of the job require exceptional communication skills.
Job Responsibilities:
Ensure a welcoming and well-prepared treatment room for patients by meticulously following prescribed procedures and protocols.
Prepare patients for dental treatment by welcoming, comforting, seating, and draping them.
Serve as a key communicator within the practice.
Provide valuable information and support to both patients and colleagues through responsive interactions.
Provide instrumentation by sterilizing and delivering instruments to the treatment area.
Position instruments for dentist's access and assist with suctioning and passing instruments.
Provide materials by selecting, mixing, and placing materials on instruments and in the patient's mouth.
Provide diagnostic information by exposing and developing radiographic studies.
Perform tasks such as pouring, trimming, and polishing study casts.
Maintain patient appearance and ability to masticate by fabricating temporary restorations.
Clean and polish removable appliances as necessary.
Assist the dentist in managing dental and medical emergencies.
Maintain CPR certification and keep emergency drug and oxygen supply available.
Educate patients by giving oral hygiene, plaque control, and postoperative instructions.
Document dental care services by charting in patient records.
Maintain patient confidence and protect operations by keeping information confidential.
Demonstrate dedication to upholding a safe and hygienic work environment.
Strictly adhere to established procedures, rules, and regulations.
Protect patients and employees by following infection-control policies and protocols.
Conserve dental resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results.
Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops and reviewing professional publications.
Establish personal networks and participate in professional societies.
Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
