Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Pediatric Cardiovascular ICU position requiring 2+ years of PICU/CVPICU experience and an OH or compact RN license.

Details

• Work in the Pediatric Cardiovascular ICU (CVPICU) of a pediatric hospital
• Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM)
• 13-week assignment
• Floating required to NICU, PICU, ED, stepdown, and Med-Surg units as needed

Requirements

• Active OH State or Compact RN license required, in hand
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS
• Minimum 2 years of CVPICU or PICU experience required in a pediatric hospital setting
• Experience with ventilator management, ETT/NT suctioning, tracheostomy care, and airway maintenance
• Experience managing arterial lines, central lines, and PICC lines
• Experience with congenital heart disease/repair, post cardiac surgery, and hemodynamic monitoring preferred
• ECMO and VAD (LVAD/RVAD) experience preferred
• CRRT experience preferred
• Experience with continuous sedation and IV vasopressor administration
• Pediatric dosage calculation skills required
• Two supervisory references required at time of consideration, at least one must be manager or supervisor titled
• Must not have been employed permanently at the facility within the last 2 years

Additional Information

• Provide critical care nursing to pediatric cardiovascular patients, including pre- and post-operative cardiac surgery care
• Work alongside a specialized pediatric cardiovascular critical care team
• Floating to other units is a strong point of emphasis and travelers must be prepared to comply with facility float expectations
• Must reside outside a 60-mile radius of the facility, as local candidates are not accepted for this RN role
