Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Pediatric Cardiovascular ICU (CVPICU) position requiring OH or Compact RN license and prior travel nursing experience.

Details

  • Work in the Pediatric Cardiovascular ICU (CVPICU) at a Magnet-designated children's hospital
  • Patient ratio of 1:1
  • Day shift schedule of 3x12-hour shifts from 7:00 to 19:00
  • Float required to a secondary hospital location in addition to the main campus
  • All travelers will float to competent units as needed
  • Epic charting system experience preferred but not required

Requirements

  • Active OH or Compact RN license required in hand at time of consideration, no exceptions
  • BSN required for consideration at this Magnet facility
  • Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS
  • Minimum 2 years of RN experience required, including at least 1 year in PICU
  • Prior travel nursing experience required
  • Trauma Level I or II experience preferred
  • Skilled in respiratory care and care of ventilated patients
  • Experience with infection control/PPE and wound assessment/care
  • Two professional references required for consideration

Additional Information

  • Provide critical care nursing to pediatric cardiovascular patients
  • Locals accepted at the same pay rate
  • No mileage radius restriction applies for this position
  • Facility will consider prior employees to return as travelers, provided they are not currently active employees
  • Facility maintains a strict do-not-call policy for candidates
