Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Nights - 3x12 hour shifts (19:00 - 07:30). Requires 4 weekend shifts within a 4-week schedule, with a holiday rotation.

Job Description

The Pediatric Cardiology Intensive Care Unit (CVPICU) is a 29-bed, Gold Beacon Award-winning facility providing care for patients with congenital heart disease. This role requires a highly skilled RN with experience in pediatric cardiac care, including familiarity with complex procedures and support therapies.

Responsibilities

• Provide critical care for pediatric patients with cardiac conditions.
• Administer medications, including IV vasopressors and antiarrhythmics.
• Care for implanted lines and perform central line blood draws.
• Utilize advanced monitoring techniques in a high-acuity environment.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop care plans.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 2 years of Pediatric Cardiac ICU experience required.
• Current South Carolina or Multi State/Compact RN license required.
• Certifications: PALS and BLS (American Heart Association). ACLS preferred.
• Experience with VAD (Ventricular Assist Device) preferred.
