Job Summary:
Operating Room (OR) Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Open Heart procedures in Glenwood Springs, Colorado. This position involves working in a dynamic environment requiring expertise in cardiovascular open heart surgeries. The role includes rotating shifts and provides an opportunity for experienced OR nurses to join a specialized cardiac team.
Job Details:
- Shift: Rotating shifts, with 10-hour scheduled days
- Schedule: Working 4-10 hour shifts with a rotating call schedule, minimum of 40 hours per week
- Required Qualifications:
- Current Colorado State (DORA) Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) with CVOR experience
- Graduate of an accredited scrub technologist program
- Certification in Surgical Technology from the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA), Association of Surgical Technologists (AST), or National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT)
- Valid Colorado Surgical Tech License (CST-DORA) required in Colorado
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association
- At least 1 year of experience in Operating Room Open Heart procedures
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Out-of-state agencies must register in the Colorado State system and select Colorado as their state, even if based out of state
- Candidate must meet the radius requirement: at least 75 miles from the employment facility
- Additional Information:
- Ensure the correct Social Security Number and Date of Birth are verified in the relevant system to prevent onboarding delays
- Out-of-state agencies without a Colorado office must accurately register according to the outlined procedures
- Traveler's permanent address must be at least 75 miles away from the healthcare facility in Glenwood Springs
