Job Summary:
OR surgical technician specializing in operating room technology in a healthcare setting. This role involves supporting surgical teams by preparing and maintaining sterile environments, scrubbing in during procedures, and ensuring equipment and supplies are properly managed. The position requires hands-on experience in cardiovascular or hybrid operating environments and calls for a certified surgical technologist with a focus on cardiovascular procedures. The schedule includes day shifts with potential call and weekend responsibilities.

Job Details:

• Schedule: 12 weeks/40 hours per week; 8-hour shifts from 0630 to 1500. May include 2-3 weekday calls and every 3rd or 4th weekend call.
• Required Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED; completion of an accredited surgical technologist educational program or approved surgical technology training program through military training. Must hold NBSTSA (National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting) certification as a surgical technologist (CST) and BLS certification.
• Preferred Qualifications: N/A
• Float: Float rotation may be required.
• Additional Information: Must have cardiovascular and hybrid experience, along with NBSTSA certification. Candidates should possess knowledge of organizational policies, safety protocols, and effective communication skills. Physical demands include frequent standing, walking, lifting, and exposure to biological and infectious materials. Work may be conducted under stressful conditions, with possible work on weekends and holidays.
