Job Summary:
Operating Room (OR) Open Heart Specialty in a healthcare facility is seeking a certified cardiovascular operating room technician to support cardiac surgery procedures. This position involves assisting surgical teams in a high-volume OR environment, ensuring sterile technique, and maintaining workflow efficiency for urgent cardiac cases. The role commences on 10/05/2026 and is scheduled for 13 weeks.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Days, 4x10-hour shifts, from 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM, with a minimum of 40 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: Certification as a Surgical Technologist by the National Board of Surgical Technology, BLS certification, at least 2 years of experience in the cardiovascular operating room setting, strong cardiac surgery skills, thoracic daVinci experience, and experience working in a CVOR environment. Candidate must hold a valid driver's license, with a permanent home address matching ID, and be willing to travel more than 50 miles from the facility.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Cerner electronic medical record system and sterile dress code adherence.
  • Additional Information: The role requires working in a cardiac surgery environment, assisting with instrument passing, maintaining a sterile field, preparing operating rooms for procedures, and supporting turnover activities. On-call duties are required as needed. Scrubs are issued by the hospital.
