Job Summary:
The operating room (OR) specialty with an open heart focus is seeking a qualified surgical technologist for a day shift position. This role involves working in a level acute care setting, primarily supporting cardiac procedures, with additional responsibilities including ortho, neuro, vascular, robotics, urology, general, and gynecology cases. The position offers a consistent schedule with mandated call duties and requires adaptability to float as needed.

Job Details:

  • Position: Operating Room Open Heart Surgical Technologist
  • Location: San Bernardino, California
  • Schedule: 10-hour shifts, beginning at 06:30 and ending at 17:00; Thursday off, call required, every other week, first to float
  • Required Qualifications: Valid BLS certification and Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential via the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA). Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience scrubing cardiac cases and versatility to assist in various surgical specialties including ortho, neuro, vascular, robotics, urology, general, and gynecology.
  • Additional Information: The facility's charting system is Cerner. The hospital policy allows cancellation of up to 4 shifts during a 13-week assignment or 3 shifts for shorter durations. Shifts commence on 08/31/2026.
