CVOR Registered Nurse (RN) – Pennsylvania Travel Nursing Contract

This on-site Registered Nurse (RN) role offers the opportunity to support complex cardiac, thoracic, and vascular procedures while collaborating with an experienced surgical team. Travel Nursing Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,700–$2,850
• Location: Lebanon, Pennsylvania
• Assignment Type: 13-week CVOR travel nursing contract
• Start Date: October 26, 2026
• End Date: January 25, 2027
• Schedule: Monday through Friday, 5 shifts per week
• Shift Duration: 8-hour day shifts, approximately 6:45 a.m. to 3:15 p.m.
• Call: Approximately every third day, including 1–2 weekends per month; weekday call is generally 3:00 p.m.–7:00 a.m., with 48-hour weekend call coverage as scheduled
• Setting: Cardiovascular operating room with potential support of the General OR when CVOR cases are not scheduled
• Patient Population: Adults and geriatric patients

CVOR Registered Nurse Job Requirements

• At least 2 years of recent CVOR or cardiovascular operating room RN experience
• Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse license eligible for practice in Pennsylvania
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• Recent Epic charting experience required
• Strong knowledge of cardiac, thoracic, vascular, and general operating room procedures
• Ability to participate in scheduled weekday, weekend, and holiday call coverage
• Comfort working in a tobacco- and fragrance-free clinical environment

CVOR Nurse Responsibilities

• Provide expert perioperative nursing care for cardiovascular and open-heart surgical procedures
• Support procedures such as CABG, valve replacement, MAZE procedures, aortic aneurysm repair, thoracotomy, lung resection, VATS, and vascular bypass procedures
• Prepare the operating room, surgical equipment, supplies, and instrumentation for scheduled cases
• Assist with cardiac and vascular procedures involving intra-aortic balloon pumps, femoral cannulation, and other advanced surgical technologies
• Maintain sterile technique, follow infection prevention practices, and complete Universal Protocol and surgical time-out procedures
• Safely manage blood and blood products, specimens, surgical documentation, and patient transfers
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia professionals, perfusion, and the interdisciplinary care team to promote safe, efficient patient outcomes
• Provide General OR support when CVOR cases are unavailable and respond to call assignments as scheduled
