Facility: Ross Heart Hospital / Ohio State University
Position Overview:
Seeking an experienced CVOR RN with strong cardiac and vascular surgical experience. The RN must be comfortable with both scrubbing and circulating in a high-acuity Level I Trauma environment.
Required Experience:
- 3 years overall OR experience
- 2+ years cardiac and vascular experience
- 1 year CVOR experience
- 1 year Level I Trauma experience
- Scrub experience is a HARD STOP
- Must have scrub experience with cardiac and vascular cases
- Heart/lung transplant experience required
- EPIC experience required
Key Cases/Skills:
- CABG
- Valve replacement
- Heart & lung transplant
- LVAD/RVAD
- TAVR
- TEVAR/EVAR
- AAA repair
- Aortic aneurysm/dissection
- Vascular procedures
- ECMO
- Hybrid OR
- Cardiothoracic and vascular robotic procedures
Certifications:
- BLS required
- ACLS preferred/required per profile
- NIHSS preferred/required per profile
- Valid Compact or Ohio RN license in hand
Schedule Requirements:
- 3×12-hour night shifts
- 6:30 PM–7:00 AM
- No block scheduling
- Must be flexible with weekends
- Weekend coverage based on unit needs
- No call
Submission Requirements:
- RTO must be provided at submission
- 2 professional references required
- At least 1 reference must be from a manager/director/supervisor
- No coworker references
- Ohio fingerprinting must be completed urgently after booking
- Travelers must be responsive throughout credentialing
- Only one Ohio State University location can be submitted at a time
