Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Cardiovascular Operating Room – Newark, NJ 07102

Start Date: September 14, 2026

Location: Newark, New Jersey

Schedule: Day shift, 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM. On-call expectations include a minimum of one weekend per month (24-hour call) and 1-2 nights per week (8-hour call shifts). Assignment duration is 90 days.

Highlights:

• Specialize in cardiovascular open heart procedures including coronary artery bypass graft surgery (CABG), heart valve replacements (MVR, AVR), and complex cardiac cases
• Circulate on advanced cardiac surgeries alongside experienced surgical teams in a high-acuity operating room environment
• Exposure to general and vascular surgical cases in addition to cardiac procedures
• Work with Epic electronic medical record system in a collaborative, fast-paced surgical setting
• 12-hour orientation provided to ensure successful onboarding and integration

Requirements:

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Jersey or compact state eligibility
• Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) certification required
• Minimum of two years of recent cardiovascular OR experience, including circulating on open heart cases
• Proficiency with Epic EMR system
• Experience with CABG, heart valve surgeries (MVR, AVR), general OR, and vascular cases
• Ability to fulfill on-call responsibilities including weekends and night shifts
