Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Operating Room position requiring strong cardiac, neuro, thoracic, ortho, and vascular experience.
Details
- Operating Room unit in a hospital setting
- Day shift schedule from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
- Every other weekend required
- Rotating holiday coverage required
- Possible on-call requirement
- Uses Epic EMR
Requirements
- Active NY RN license required at time of consideration
- BLS certification from AHA or RQI required
- Minimum 2 years of recent experience in the Operating Room specialty
- Strong cardiac, neuro, thoracic, ortho, and vascular experience required
- Epic EMR experience required
- No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
- US Social Security Number required; Canadian SIN not accepted
- Minimum 1 reference from a supervisor or manager (not a charge nurse) dated within the past year
Additional Information
- Provide perioperative nursing care across multiple surgical specialties including cardiac, neuro, thoracic, ortho, and vascular cases
- Flu vaccination required; only medical exemptions signed by a licensed professional are accepted (no personal or religious declinations)
- No blocked scheduling permitted
- More than 3 call-outs within a 13-week assignment may result in contract termination, with make-up shifts required within 6 weeks
- RTO must be requested at the time of submission
- Local candidates residing within a 50-mile radius of specific counties (Albany, Columbia, Dutchess, Fulton, Greene, Montgomery, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Schenectady, Ulster, Warren, and Washington) are not eligible
