**Exciting Opportunity for RN in Cardiovascular Progressive Care!** **Job Description:** - **Unit Information:** - Location: Asheville, NC - Floor: E4 - CVPC - Building: E Heart Tower - **About the Unit:** - Join our dynamic team focusing on Cardiovascular surgery and vascular surgery, including: - Open heart surgeries (CABG, AVR, MVR, Bentall, TAVR) - Thoracic lung surgeries (lobectomy, thoracotomy) - Esophagogastrectomy - AAA (open and endovascular) - Fem-pop bypass - Carotid endarterectomies - **Unit Details:** - Number of Beds: 40 cardiac surgery stepdown beds - Total Staff: Approximately 100 - Patient Ratios: - 1:5 patients per RN - 1:13 for PCTs - **Staffing:** - Day Shift: 1 charge RN, 13 RNs, 4 PCTs, 1.33 HUC - Night Shift: 1 charge RN, 13 RNs, 4 PCTs, 0.33 HUC - **Equipment Utilized:** - Baxter IV pumps - CADD epidural pumps - Various lifts - **EMR System:** - Cerner - **Ideal Candidate Profile:** - Required Skills: - Stepdown experience - Telemetry experience - Preferred Skills: - Prior experience in CV surgery and vascular surgery - CVICU experience - **Typical Procedures:** - Epidural management - Chest tube management - Tube feedings - IV gluccomander - Cardiac gtt management (phenylephrine, dobutamine, dopamine, milrinone, cardizem, amiodarone, insulin, heparin, nitroglycerin, ketamine) - **Best Personality Fit:** - Team player - Thrives in a fast-paced environment - Flexible and adaptable - **Certifications:** - ACLS - BLS - **Floating Areas:** - Any SD (1:5 ratios) or MS (1:6-7 ratios) unit - ER inpatient holding area (1:6) - **Dress Code:** - All navy, white tops/navy bottoms, or all white - **Weekends and On-Call:** - No call required - Minimum of 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule period - Flexibility to work Holidays **Why Catalytic Solutions (CatSol):** At CatSol, we connect dedicated therapists with rewarding assignments across the country.
