Job Summary:
Operating Room Open Heart nurse in Iowa City, Iowa. The position involves providing specialized circulator and scrub responsibilities in a Cardiothoracic, Peripheral Vascular, and Transplant (Heart and Lung) surgical environment. The role includes working evening shifts on a Sunday through Thursday schedule, with on-call rotation duties.
Job Details:
- Shift Time: Evenings, 8 hours per shift.
- Schedule: 15:00 - 23:30, Sunday through Thursday, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Certifications in operating room nursing, two or more years of strong Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) RN experience, and proficiency in scrubbing cardiac cases. Must include or scrubbing skills checklist in the submission packet. Experience with large level 1 or 2 trauma facilities is required.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with team rotation for on-call duties, including a 24-hour call once weekly and one weekend call in a four-week rotation.
- Additional Information: The candidate must demonstrate skills in scrubbing heart surgeries, be able to handle complex cardiothoracic procedures, and be comfortable with trauma cases in a high-level hospital setting.
