Job Summary

Operating Room Open Heart: This role supports high-acuity surgical procedures and requires confident independent performance in a fast-paced operating room environment. The position includes scrub and team support responsibilities across cardiac, vascular, thoracic, and related procedures.

Job Details

  • Schedule: Days, 10-hour shifts from 0600 to 1630 with on-call coverage; 40 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: Operating room experience with the ability to independently scrub coronary artery bypass grafts, valve procedures, aortic repairs, extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO), Impella procedures, chest tubes, and thoracic procedures including video-assisted thoracic surgery (VATS), lung procedures, and pericardial windows.
  • Additional Information: Responsibilities include serving as a first or second scrub, assisting the surgical team as needed, supporting room turnovers, and providing anesthesia technician support. The role requires effective teamwork and the ability to work independently in a high-acuity environment.
