Job Summary:
Operating Room Open Heart (OR OH) specialty located in a 225-bed regional specialty care hospital in Marquette, Michigan. This role involves working exclusively in prep and recovery areas, focusing on cardiac procedures, with no involvement in the Cath Lab or Interventional Radiology. The assignment provides an opportunity to contribute to a dynamic cardiac care team in a community known for its vibrant educational and outdoor activities.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Days, 10-hour shifts, with a minimum of 40 hours per week. The start date is 10/12/2026 and the end date is 11/16/2026.
  • Required Qualifications: Minimum of 2 years of experience in prep and recovery or cardiac care unit; current certifications including ACLS and BLS; minimum associate's degree in nursing.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience specifically in post anesthesia recovery, vascular line pulls, and assessment of post-cardiac/IR procedures.
  • Additional Information: Units have 13 beds with patient ratios up to 1:4. Responsibilities include monitoring adult and geriatric cardiac patients following interventional procedures. Scrubs are provided in light blue, and appropriate attire must be worn at all times.
