Job Summary:
Operating Room Open Heart (OR OH) nurse position available in a teaching facility. This role involves providing specialized perioperative care for adult patients undergoing open heart surgeries and other advanced cardiovascular procedures. The position is scheduled to begin on 10/12/2026, with an end date of 01/11/2027, and offers a flexible schedule with shifts lasting 10 hours.
Job Details:
- Schedule: 4x10s, 0700-1730, with consideration for 5x8s, minimum of 40 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Two years of experience in operating room or open heart cardiac surgery, valid state license, ACLS and BLS certifications, experience with Epic charting system, no first-time applicant acceptance, no on-call or weekend requirements specified
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience in adult level trauma, hybrid OR settings, and extensive cardiovascular surgical procedures including coronary artery bypass grafts, valve replacements, and other advanced cardiac surgeries
- Float: Float to main operating room if needed within scope of practice
- Additional Information: Ability to work within a teaching environment, familiarity with complex cardiovascular procedures, and experience with advanced surgical equipment and protocols are preferred
