Job Summary
Operating Room Open Heart RN Location: Not Specified. This role involves performing independent nursing functions and delegated medical functions within the scope of practice as defined by the state Board of Nursing. The position requires assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care, as well as providing health education, supportive therapy, and treatment.
Job Details
- Schedule: Rotating shifts, 10 hours per day, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: ASN (Associate of Science in Nursing) from an accredited School of Nursing; current RN license in the state of practice; BLS (American Heart Association) certification; ACLS (American Heart Association) certification; at least 1 year of experience in operating room open heart nursing.
- Preferred Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Nursing; previous experience as a Registered Nurse in a similar setting.
- Certifications & Licensure: Current RN license, BLS, and ACLS certifications.
- Additional Information: The role may require float to other departments within scope of competency and qualifications. On-call availability is required. The RN will be responsible for executing delegated medical functions, monitoring therapy and treatment plans, documenting in accordance with guidelines, and providing patient referrals as needed.
