Job Summary:
Operating Room Open Heart (OR OH) nurse located in the region of the healthcare facility. This position involves providing specialized surgical nursing care for cardiac procedures, with shifts lasting 12 hours. The assignment begins on 09/28/2026 and concludes on 12/21/2026, requiring a proven background in cardiovascular surgery and experience working in operating rooms.
Job Details:
- Schedule: 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week, beginning on 09/28/2026 and ending on 12/21/2026
- Required Qualifications: Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS), at least 2 years of surgical experience in an operating room setting, experience with open heart and cardiovascular procedures, valid state license (compact license acceptable), and prior travel or community hospital experience preferred.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with cardiac ICU, certifications such as Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and trauma level II experience.
- Floating: May be required to float between units based on skill set, with the understanding of potential assignments to other related units within the organization.
- Additional Information: Candidate must have at least 1 full year of recent clinical experience in OR OH and be comfortable managing complex cardiac cases. Professional responsibilities include assisting with open heart surgeries, cardiac monitoring, patient care, and adhering to sterile procedures and safety protocols.
