Job Summary
Operating Room Open Heart RN in a Level I Trauma Center. This position involves providing specialized cardiovascular surgical care on a 36-hour weekly schedule, primarily during daytime shifts. The role supports a dynamic team in a high-acuity environment, requiring experienced cardiovascular surgical nursing skills.
Job Details
- Certifications: ACLS, BLS, CNOR.
- Education Requirements: Valid state or compact nursing license in hand at the time of submittal.
- Degrees & Experience: Minimum of 2 years of cardiovascular OR experience required.
- Location Requirements: Candidates must hold a valid state or compact license in hand at the time of submittal; remote or out-of-state licenses are not accepted unless in a participating state.
- Schedule: Day shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with intra-aortic balloon pump (IABP), transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR), and advanced cardiovascular procedures.
- Additional Information: Unit accepts first-time travelers with at least 2 years of experience; trauma level I experience preferred. Candidates must complete onboarding including core items and labs within 48 hours of contract signing. Modules are completed onsite during orientation.
