Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Cardiovascular ICU/Stepdown position requiring a minimum of three years of relevant nursing experience and an active IL RN license.

Details

  • CV Stepdown unit providing direct care to post-op CABG, vascular, and ICU status patients
  • Night shift schedule of 3x12-hour shifts, 1900-0730
  • 5-6 weekend shifts required per 6-week schedule
  • Holiday coverage required per department rotation
  • Uses Epic for nursing care documentation

Requirements

  • Active Illinois RN license in good standing
  • Current BLS and ACLS certification (American Heart Association)
  • Minimum of three years of relevant nursing experience
  • ASN required, BSN preferred
  • Epic charting experience required

Additional Information

  • Provide direct patient care including initial assessments, individualized care plans, and ongoing evaluation of nursing interventions
  • Maintain accurate nursing documentation to support the healthcare team
  • Participate in hourly patient rounding and maintain a clean, organized work environment
  • Offer peer feedback and engage in professional development activities
  • Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility, as local candidates are not accepted
  • RTO not to exceed 7 total days per 13-week contract
  • Contingent workers may not remain on assignment for more than 1 year without a 6-month break in service before returning to any facility within the health system
