Description

American Traveler is seeking an RN for a Cardiovascular ICU/Stepdown position requiring at least three years of relevant nursing experience and an active Illinois RN license.

Details

  • Work in the CV Stepdown unit providing care for post-op CABG, vascular, and ICU status patients
  • Night shift schedule of three 12-hour shifts from 1900-0730
  • 5-6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule
  • Holiday coverage required on a department rotation basis
  • Uses Epic charting system

Requirements

  • Active Illinois RN license in good standing (temporary license accepted)
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association
  • Minimum of three years of relevant nursing experience
  • ASN required, BSN preferred
  • Epic charting experience required
  • Level 1 Trauma experience required

Additional Information

  • Provide direct patient care including initial assessment, plan of care development, and ongoing evaluation for CVICU patients
  • Perform hourly rounding and maintain a clean, organized work environment
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team and provide constructive feedback to peers
  • Maintain up-to-date documentation and uphold hospital and unit-based competencies
  • Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility; local candidates not accepted
  • RTO not to exceed 7 total days per 13-week contract
  • Contingent workers may not be on assignment for more than 1 year at this health system without a 6-month break in service before returning
