Greenstaff Medical US-Travel is seeking a travel nurse RN CVICU for a travel nursing job in New Brunswick, New Jersey.
Unit: Cardio Thoracic ICU - SICU-E
have experience with fresh post-op cardiac cases, including CABG, MVR, AVR, and TAVR. Must also have experience with Impella, IABP, and CRRT using PrisMax.
IV Therapy/Medications: A-lines; Administer Blood Products; Central/PICC lines; Starting IVs; Continuous IV paralytics/Neuromuscular blockade and sedation; Emergency Meds; Procedural Sedation Admin/monitoring; Titrate Cardiac/Vasoactive drips; IV insulin protocols
Respiratory/Thoracic: Chest Tube Insertion/Removal; BiPAP/CPAP; Vented Patient Care; HFNC; ABGs; Suctioning (ETT, NT); Ventilator Management
• Cardiovascular: CABG; Cardiac Surgery (directly/not directly from the OR); TAVR; Valve Repair/Replacement; Post-Op Open Heart Recovery; Temporary Pacers; FloTrac/Vigileo monitoring; Interpret Dysrhythmias; 12-lead EKG
• Renal/Neurological: Chronic/Acute Renal failure; CVVHD/CRRT; CVA/Acute Stroke; Hypothermia protocol/Arctic Sun; Lumbar drains
• General Skills: Multisystem organ dysfunction/failure; Infection Prevention; Isolation Precautions/PPE; Phlebotomy.
Required: 2 years of recent CVICU experience Charting: EPIC experience required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
