Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- At least 2 years of recent CVICU, Cardiac ICU, or high-acuity ICU experience
- BLS certification required
- ACLS preferred
- CCRN strongly preferred
- Ability to interpret cardiac rhythms and read telemetry strips independently
- Experience titrating multiple vasoactive and critical care drips
- Strong critical thinking, communication, organization, and teamwork skills
- Comfort working in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment with minimal onboarding support
- Must be able to adapt quickly and provide safe care across varying patient assignments
Responsibilities
- Provide skilled care for complex cardiovascular ICU patients, including post-operative cardiac and vascular cases
- Monitor and manage patients requiring invasive lines, pacing devices, ventilatory support, and advanced ICU therapies
- Titrate drips per protocol and provider orders, including vasoactive, sedation, and anticoagulation medications
- Interpret telemetry rhythms and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition
- Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, respiratory therapists, charge nurses, and the broader care team
- Deliver safe, compassionate, and organized care in a high-acuity critical care setting
- Float to other levels of care when needed and support patient flow across the facility
- Maintain professional standards and contribute to a positive, team-oriented unit culture
