Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced CVICU RN for a Level 1 trauma hospital's cardiothoracic ICU, requiring an active MA RN license and prior travel experience.

Details

  • Work in the CTICU, a cardiothoracic intensive care unit providing 24-hour monitoring and advanced care
  • Care for patients recovering from complex heart, lung, and vascular surgeries or severe cardiac/respiratory conditions
  • 12-hour rotating shifts (days/nights), 36 hours per week
  • Level 1 trauma center setting
  • Uses Epic EMR
  • No floating or charge nurse responsibilities required

Requirements

  • Active MA RN license required in hand
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA) required
  • Minimum 2-3 years of RN experience with at least 2 years in CT/CVICU setting
  • Epic EMR experience required
  • Prior travel nursing experience required
  • Must pass Tele/ECG and Medication competency testing
  • COVID vaccine plus booster and flu vaccine required (medical exemptions allowed)

Additional Information

  • Provide high-acuity nursing care to cardiothoracic surgical and critical care patients
  • Weekly orientation provided
  • Any color scrubs permitted
  • Local candidates not accepted; must reside outside a 50-mile radius
  • Previous BILH employees (travel, perm, or per diem) must have a 6+ month break before returning
  • First-time travelers not considered due to travel experience requirement
