Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a CVICU position at a Level 1 trauma facility, requiring an active MA RN license and 2+ years of CT/CVICU experience.

Details

  • Work in the CTICU (Cardiothoracic ICU), a high-acuity unit providing 24-hour monitoring and advanced care for patients recovering from complex heart, lung, and vascular surgeries or severe cardiac/respiratory conditions
  • 12-hour rotating shifts (days/nights), 36 hours per week
  • 26-week assignment
  • No float or charge nurse responsibilities required

Requirements

  • Active MA RN license required in hand
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA) required
  • Minimum 2-3 years of overall RN experience with at least 2 years in CT/CVICU required
  • Level 1 trauma center experience required
  • Epic EMR experience required
  • Previous travel nursing experience required
  • Must pass Tele/ECG and Medication competency testing
  • Required vaccinations: COVID (plus booster) and Flu, medical exemptions allowed

Additional Information

  • Provide advanced critical care nursing to cardiothoracic surgical and cardiac/respiratory patients
  • Any color scrubs permitted
  • Weekly orientation provided
  • Must be separated from Beth Israel Lahey Health for 6+ months to be considered
  • Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; local candidates are not accepted
  • First-time travelers are not eligible for this position
