Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a CVICU position requiring 2+ years of ICU experience and prior travel experience.

Details

  • Work in the ICU/CVICU unit of a 171-bed community hospital and regional referral center that is a Certified Chest Pain Center and Level III Trauma facility
  • Blended ICU specialty with adult and geriatric patient population
  • 16-bed unit with a patient ratio of 1:2
  • Common diagnoses/treatments include STEMI, NSTEMI, COPD exacerbation, sepsis, CABG, valve repair/replacement, acute respiratory failure, A. Fib RVR, ETOH withdrawal, head injury, overdose, stroke, trauma, CRRT, TCAR & TVAR
  • Uses Baxter pumps and Medhost EHR
  • Night shift schedule of 7P-7A, 3x12s
  • Weekend work required every other weekend
  • Call requirements apply
  • Floating required to the Intermediate Care Unit as primary RN and to ED holding for admitted patients, as needed

Requirements

  • Active RN license (AZ or Compact) currently in hand
  • Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
  • Minimum 2 years of recent ICU/CVICU experience required
  • Prior travel nursing experience required

Additional Information

  • Provide critical care nursing to adult and geriatric CVICU patients
  • Weekly orientation provided
  • Candidates must live 60 miles or greater from the facility to be considered for the travel rate
  • Cannot have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the past 12 months
  • Cannot be employed elsewhere full time
