Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Blended ICU/CVICU position requiring 2+ years of experience and AHA certifications including BLS, ACLS, and NIH.

Details

  • Community hospital and regional referral center, Joint Commission Accredited with 171 beds
  • Certified Chest Pain Center and Level III Trauma Center
  • Blended ICU/CVICU unit with 16 beds
  • Adult and geriatric patient population with 1:2 patient ratios
  • Common diagnoses/treatments include STEMI, NSTEMI, COPD exacerbation, sepsis, CABG, valve repair/replacement, acute respiratory failure, A. Fib RVR, ETOH withdrawal, head injury, overdose, stroke, trauma, CRRT, TCAR & TVAR
  • Uses Baxter pumps and Medhost EHR
  • Night shift schedule, 3x12s from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
  • Every other weekend required
  • Call requirements apply
  • Floating required to Intermediate Care Unit (as primary RN) and ED holding (for admitted patients) on an as-needed basis

Requirements

  • Active RN license (AZ or Compact) required
  • Current BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale certifications (AHA certifications required)
  • Minimum 2 years of experience required
  • Prior travel nursing experience required
  • Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration
  • Active Nursys/licensure verification required at time of consideration
  • Copies of required certifications must be provided

Additional Information

  • Provide critical care nursing to a blended ICU/CVICU patient population with complex cardiovascular and medical diagnoses
  • Weekly orientation offered
  • No block schedule requests; 48-hour schedules may be considered but are not guaranteed
  • Candidates must reside 60 miles or greater from the facility to be considered for travel rate
  • Cannot have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months
  • Cannot be employed elsewhere full time
  • Local candidates may be considered at a different rate
