Job Summary – CVICU RN | Great Falls, MT

Weekly Pay: $2614

Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) – Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU)
Location: Great Falls, Montana
Facility: Great Falls Clinic Medical Center
Contract Length: 13 Weeks
Start Date: August 10, 2026 (Rapid Response Crisis)
Shift: Nights
Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours/week

 

Requirements

  • Active Montana RN License
  • Minimum 2 years of recent Critical Care/CVICU experience
  • Recent Open Heart Recovery experience is REQUIRED (must be able to recover immediate post-op open-heart patients independently on Day 1)
  • Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS
  • Experience with Meditech EMR
  • Strong cardiac critical care skills 

Required Clinical Skills

  • Immediate post-operative open-heart patient recovery
  • Hemodynamic monitoring
  • Chest tubes
  • Arterial (A) lines and central lines
  • Multiple IV drips and IV pumps
  • Ventilator management (invasive and non-invasive)
  • Cardiac telemetry and EKG interpretation
  • Care of post-PCI, pacemaker, thoracotomy, CHF, COPD, DKA, sepsis, renal failure, DVT/PE, and other high-acuity cardiac patients 

Responsibilities

  • Provide care for critically ill cardiovascular patients
  • Recover immediate post-op open-heart surgery patients
  • Monitor and manage invasive lines and advanced life-support equipment
  • Collaborate with physicians and the multidisciplinary team
  • Document patient care using Meditech
  • Assist with discharge planning and mentor/precept staff when needed
