Registered Nurse - CVICU | Travel | Milwaukee, WI

Assignment Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) team. This role is ideal for nurses with ICU and CVICU experience who are eager to work in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment. This position offers an opportunity to work in a renowned Level II Trauma Center located in Milwaukee, WI.

Assignment Details

  • Start Date: Not provided
  • Shift Details: 0700-1900 or 1900-0700
  • Assignment Length: Not provided
  • Estimated gross weekly pay package: $2565 (negotiable)
  • Number of Openings: Not provided
  • Charting System: EPIC
  • Orientation: 1 day
  • Weekend Rotation: Every other
  • Holiday Expectations: 1-2 per contract
  • Fatigue Policy: Maximum of 60 hours/week or 5 consecutive 12-hour shifts

Responsibilities

  • Provide critical care nursing to patients with cardiac and thoracic surgical needs
  • Monitor invasive lines and cardiac medications
  • Manage ventilators and tracheostomies
  • Interpret cardiac rhythms

Qualifications

Required:

  • BLS, ACLS certification
  • Minimum 3 years of ICU experience with 1 year in CVICU
  • Competent in invasive line monitoring, pacemakers, and cardiac medications
  • EPIC experience

Preferred:

  • CCRN certification
  • Experience with ECMO, CVVH, IABP, VAD
