Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a CVICU position requiring 2 years of ICU experience and BLS, ACLS, and NIH certifications.

Details

  • Blended ICU/CVICU unit within a 171-bed Joint Commission accredited community hospital and regional referral center
  • Level III trauma center and certified Chest Pain Center
  • 16-bed unit with adult and geriatric patient population
  • 1:2 patient ratios
  • 3x12 shift schedule, 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
  • Every other weekend required
  • On-call responsibilities required
  • Float requirements include Intermediate Care Unit as primary RN and ED holding for admitted patients on an as-needed basis
  • Uses Baxter pumps for infusion management
  • Medhost EHR system

Requirements

  • Active RN license (AZ or Compact) required
  • Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required
  • BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale certifications required
  • Prior travel nursing experience required
  • Experience with common cardiac and critical care diagnoses such as STEMI, NSTEMI, CABG, valve repair/replacement, CRRT, TCAR/TVAR, sepsis, and stroke

Additional Information

  • Care for a complex cardiovascular and critical care patient population including COPD exacerbation, A. Fib RVR, ETOH withdrawal, head injury, overdose, and trauma cases
  • Weekly orientation provided
  • Local candidates accepted, though those living 60 miles or greater from the facility qualify for the travel rate
  • Traveler cannot have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months
  • Cannot be employed elsewhere on a full-time basis while on assignment
  • Located in Lake Havasu City, AZ, offering access to outdoor recreation, dining, and scenic mountain and lake views
