Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Blended ICU/CVICU position requiring 2+ years of experience and AHA certifications including BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale.

Details

Blended ICU/CVICU unit in a 171-bed Joint Commission accredited community hospital and regional referral center
Level III Trauma Center and Certified Chest Pain Center
16-bed unit with 1:2 patient ratios
Adult and geriatric patient population
Common diagnoses include STEMI, NSTEMI, COPD exacerbation, sepsis, CABG, valve repair/replacement, acute respiratory failure, A-Fib RVR, ETOH withdrawal, head injury, overdose, stroke, and trauma
Treats patients undergoing CRRT, TCAR, and TVAR procedures
Uses Baxter pumps and Medhost EHR
Night shift schedule, 3x12s from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
Every other weekend required
On-call requirements apply
Float requirements include Intermediate Care Unit as primary RN and ED holding for admitted patients on an as-needed basis
13-week assignment length

Requirements

Active AZ or compact RN license required
Current BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale certifications (AHA) required
Minimum 2 years of relevant nursing experience required
Prior travel nursing experience required

Additional Information

Provide critical care nursing in a blended ICU/CVICU setting managing complex cardiovascular and critical care patients
Must reside 60 miles or greater from the facility to be eligible for the travel pay rate
Cannot have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months
Cannot be employed elsewhere full-time while on assignment
