Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Blended ICU/CVICU position requiring prior travel and critical care experience with 2+ years in the specialty.

Details

  • Blended ICU/CVICU unit within a Level III trauma, Joint Commission accredited community hospital and regional referral center with 171 beds
  • 16-bed unit with 1:2 patient ratios
  • Adult and geriatric patient population with diagnoses including STEMI, NSTEMI, COPD exacerbation, sepsis, CABG, valve repair/replacement, acute respiratory failure, A. Fib RVR, ETOH withdrawal, head injury, overdose, stroke, trauma, CRRT, TCAR and TVAR
  • Uses Baxter pumps and Medhost EHR
  • 3x12 night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
  • Every other weekend required
  • On-call requirements apply
  • Float to Intermediate Care Unit as primary RN and to ED holding for admitted patients as needed

Requirements

  • Active RN license (AZ or Compact) required
  • Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required (AHA certifications required)
  • Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required
  • Prior travel nursing experience required
  • Social security number and date of birth required for consideration

Additional Information

  • Weekly orientation offered
  • One call-out allowed per contract; additional call-outs require documentation and are reviewed case by case
  • No block schedule requests, though 48-hour schedules may be considered but not guaranteed
  • Candidates must live 60 miles or greater from the facility to be considered for travel pay rate
  • Cannot have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months
  • Cannot be employed elsewhere full time
