Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced CVICU RN for a night shift position requiring strong cardiovascular critical care skills and telemetry experience.

Details

  • Blended cardiovascular care unit with 18 CVICU beds and 12 CVIMCU beds
  • Cares for adult patients with primary cardiac diagnoses including heart failure, post-cardiac arrest, CT surgery, IABP therapy, Impella insertion, post-PCI, pacemaker insertion, ablation, arrhythmia, and STEMI/NSTEMI
  • Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:30
  • Floating required within the facility or to nearby affiliated facilities, with priority floating to a hospital approximately 15 minutes away
  • Epic charting experience required

Requirements

  • Active RN license (Oregon license not required at time of submission; pending licensure accepted)
  • Active Oregon CNA license required in hand (pending not accepted)
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
  • CCRN certification preferred
  • Minimum 2 years of recent experience required
  • Telemetry experience required
  • Prior travel nursing experience required
  • Epic EMR charting experience required
  • Skills required include IV therapy, arterial line management, blood product administration, central line and PICC line care, chest tube assistance, BiPAP/CPAP and ventilator management, and interpretation of ABGs
  • Experience with shock program management preferred

  • Multidisciplinary team environment with focus on mentoring and advanced certification support
  • Former employees of the health system are not eligible for assignments until six months after their termination date
  • Block scheduling is not accommodated
