Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced CVICU RN for a night shift assignment requiring BLS, ACLS, and strong cardiovascular ICU experience.

Details

• Blended cardiovascular care unit with 18 CVICU beds and 12 CVIMCU beds
• Cares for patients 16 years and older with primary cardiac diagnoses including heart failure, post-cardiac arrest, and cardiothoracic surgery
• Manages complex cardiac cases such as CABG, valve repair/replacement, VATS/thoracotomy, IABP therapy, Impella insertion, post-PCI, pacemaker insertion, ablation, arrhythmia, STEMI/NSTEMI, and EKOS
• Night shift schedule with 3x12 hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:30
• Requires Epic charting experience
• Floating required within the unit and to nearby affiliated West Valley Hospital

Requirements

• Active RN license (Oregon RN license not required at submission, pending acceptable)
• Active Oregon CNA license required and in hand (pending not accepted)
• BLS and ACLS certification required
• CCRN certification preferred
• Minimum 2 years of relevant CVICU/ICU experience required
• Telemetry experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Strong cardiovascular care experience required, including CABG, TAVR, IABP, Impella, and VAD management
• Experience with ventilator management, ABG interpretation, and arterial line management preferred
• Experience with continuous IV sedation, vasoactive drip titration, and CRRT preferred

• Assignments generally preferred to start within 3-4 weeks of posting date
• Required orientation modules (up to 8 hours) must be completed prior to start and annually thereafter
