Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN - ICU for a night shift travel position requiring CVICU experience and 2+ years of ICU nursing experience.

Details

  • Blended ICU (ICU/CVICU) unit within a 171-bed Joint Commission accredited community hospital and regional referral center
  • 16-bed unit with a 1:2 patient ratio
  • Adult and geriatric patient population
  • Common diagnoses include STEMI, NSTEMI, COPD exacerbation, sepsis, CABG, valve repair/replacement, acute respiratory failure, A. Fib RVR, ETOH withdrawal, head injury, overdose, stroke, trauma, CRRT, TCAR and TVAR
  • Uses Baxter pumps and Medhost EHR
  • Night shift schedule, 3x12s (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM)
  • Every other weekend required
  • On-call requirements apply
  • May float to Intermediate Care Unit as primary RN or to ED holding for admitted patients on an as-needed basis

Requirements

  • Active AZ or Compact RN license required
  • BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certifications required
  • Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required
  • CVICU experience required
  • Prior travel nursing experience required

Additional Information

  • Weekly orientation provided
  • One call-out permitted per contract; additional call-outs require documentation and are reviewed case by case
  • Candidates must reside 60 miles or greater from the facility to be considered for the travel rate
  • Candidates who have worked permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months are not eligible
  • Candidates cannot be employed elsewhere full time
  • No block schedule requests; 48-hour schedules may be considered but are not guaranteed
  • First-time travelers are welcome to apply
