CVICU Registered Nurse - 13 Week Contract
Job Description
We are seeking an experienced CVICU Registered Nurse to provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical skills, the ability to work collaboratively in a team, and a commitment to delivering exceptional nursing care. This is a 13-week contract position requiring a flexible schedule to meet the needs of the unit.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to critically ill patients in the CVICU.
- Monitor patient condition, interpret data, and implement necessary interventions.
- Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.
- Educate patients and families about care plans and disease management.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and adhere to safety protocols.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- 2 years of CVICU nursing experience.
- Valid PA or Compact RN license must be in hand at the time of submission.
- BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications are required.
- Experience with EPIC charting system.
- Experience in a Trauma Level I facility preferred.
Schedule
Day shift: 3x12-hour shifts from 07:00 to 19:30. Weekend and holiday requirements: every other weekend and holiday.
