• Shift Duration: 12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM)
• Hours Per Week: 36
• Schedule: Weekdays with some weekends; rotating holidays
• Weekend Coverage: Minimum 4 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule block
• Orientation: 36 hours
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,940 - $2,040
• Patient Ratio: 1:1–2
• Patient Population: Adult cardiovascular, vascular, thoracic, and post-operative critical care patients
• Float Requirement: May float within units of equivalent or lower acuity as needed

Job Requirements

• Active RN license in hand at time of submission
• At least 1 year of critical care RN experience required; 2 years of Cardiac ICU or CVICU experience preferred
• BLS and ACLS certification required
• NIHSS certification required
• Epic charting experience required
• Previous travel nursing experience preferred
• Graduation from an ACEN- or CCNE-accredited nursing program
• Strong experience with hemodynamic monitoring, ventilators, and vasoactive medications strongly preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide expert critical care nursing to high-acuity CVICU patients with complex cardiac, vascular, thoracic, and post-surgical needs
• Monitor and manage patients receiving advanced therapies, including mechanical circulatory support and invasive hemodynamic monitoring
• Assess, plan, and implement individualized care for patients with conditions such as CABG, valve repair/replacement, TAVR, ECMO, VADs, and respiratory failure
• Titrate cardiac drips and vasoactive medications, manage ventilated patients, and respond quickly to changes in patient status
• Collaborate closely with the interdisciplinary critical care team to support safe, high-quality patient outcomes
• Maintain accurate documentation in Epic and uphold unit protocols and best practices
• Float within the organization as needed to support units of similar or lower acuity
