Description

American Traveler is hiring a CVICU RN with recent open heart/cardiac critical care experience for a night shift assignment requiring a FL or compact license.

Details

  • Cardiovascular ICU (CVICU) unit specializing in open heart and cardiac care
  • 2:1 patient ratio
  • Night shift, 3x12 hours (19:00-07:30)
  • Every other weekend required
  • Floating as needed
  • Holiday coverage as needed
  • Uses Epic EMR

Requirements

  • Active FL or compact RN license required in hand at time of consideration
  • BLS and ACLS certification via AHA
  • NIH Stroke Scale certification required in hand at time of consideration
  • Minimum 3 years recent critical care experience with acute/chronically ill patients required
  • Minimum 2 years recent consecutive acute care experience within the past 24 months in a US hospital if degree is from an FBON-approved institution
  • Degree must be from an accredited school or FBON-approved institution
  • Epic EMR experience required
  • Must pass a Basic Arrhythmia/EKG assessment
  • Must complete Florida AHCA Level 2 background screening, including fingerprint-based state and federal criminal history checks and abuse registry review
  • Proof of vaccination status required with no declinations allowed

Additional Information

  • Provide critical care nursing to open heart/cardiac ICU patients
  • Smoke-free facility
  • Locals considered within a 60-mile radius at a reduced local rate
  • Must retake and pass a dysrhythmia exam within 24 hours if initial score does not meet requirements (100% on lethal rhythms, 83% overall and in other sections)
  • Study guide and orientation materials available through facility's online orientation program
