Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a high-acuity Cardiovascular ICU position requiring AR or compact RN licensure and specialized cardiac device experience.

Details

Acute care setting in a Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU)
Busy, fast-paced CV service line with the highest acuity in the area
Patient population includes all cardiovascular cases except transplants
Uses Cerner EMR
12-hour night shifts (7p-7a) on an every-other-weekend (EOW) rotation
Scheduled for 48 guaranteed hours per week

Requirements

Active AR or Compact RN license required
Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
Experience with ECMO, Impella, balloon pump, and VAD required
Copy of driver's license required for consideration
Two professional references required: one supervisor from within the last 12 months worked, and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years worked, including dates of employment and eligibility for rehire

Additional Information

Provide critical care nursing to high-acuity cardiovascular ICU patients
Candidates who were directly employed (full time, part time, or PRN) by any CommonSpirit-associated facility, including CHI and/or Dignity, within the past year are not eligible
Candidates previously employed PRN through outside staffing firms will be considered
