Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced CVICU RN for a night shift travel contract requiring active TX RN licensure and hemodynamic monitoring skills.

Details

  • CVICU unit in a hospital setting caring for post-CABG, post-VAD, and post-cath cardiac patients with support devices such as IABP, Impella, and ECMO
  • 13-week assignment with rotating weekends
  • Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
  • No call requirements
  • Floating required per facility floating policy
  • Uses Meditech for documentation and order entry

Requirements

  • Active TX or compact RN license required, no temporary licenses accepted
  • Minimum of 2 years ICU experience required
  • Current BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Certification required
  • Experience with hemodynamic monitoring including swan-ganz and arterial lines required
  • Ventilator management experience required
  • Strong critical thinking skills required
  • IABP and CRRT exposure preferred
  • Meditech charting/order entry experience preferred
  • US Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration
  • No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Additional Information

  • Provide direct critical care nursing to complex cardiovascular surgical and post-catheterization patients
  • Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility, no local candidates accepted
  • Navy scrub top and pant with navy or white scrub jacket required for RNs
  • Clean and neatly trimmed appearance required including hair, facial hair, and nails
  • Visible piercings other than ears are prohibited and body art should be covered when possible
  • Badge in and out for each shift and take a full 30-minute lunch
  • Punctuality required, with tardiness recorded after a short grace period
