Job Requirements

• 2 years of CVICU, cardiac ICU, or related critical care nursing experience preferred
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in hand at time of submission
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Prior travel nursing experience preferred
• Epic charting experience required
• Experience with arterial line management, central line care, ventilated patients, dysrhythmia interpretation, and vasoactive drip titration preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality cardiac critical care to cardiovascular surgery and CVICU patients
• Monitor and manage patients with invasive lines, ventilators, and advanced cardiac support devices
• Titrate cardiac drips and vasoactive medications according to patient condition and provider orders
• Interpret ABGs, hemodynamics, and dysrhythmias to support timely clinical decision-making
• Care for patients requiring ECMO, IABP, pulmonary artery catheters, and post-cardiac surgery support
• Collaborate with respiratory therapy, pharmacy, IV therapy, rapid response, and other interdisciplinary healthcare teams
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately in Epic
• Maintain a safe, patient-centered environment while using strong critical thinking and communication skills
