We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Cardio Thoracic ICU Registered Nurse to join our team at a leading acute-care hospital in New Haven, CT. This position offers the opportunity to work in a high-acuity cardiac ICU, where your expertise will make a significant impact on patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in the Cardio Thoracic ICU.
• Monitor and assess patient conditions, administering medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Utilize advanced monitoring techniques, including swan-ganz monitoring.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Float to other HVC ICUs as needed to meet facility requirements.

Requirements:

• 3 years of Cardiac ICU experience required.
• First-timers accepted with Cardio Thoracic ICU experience and/or critical care experience.
• Certifications: NIHSS, ACLS, BLS required.
• Must be proficient with swan-ganz monitoring.
• Weekend requirement: Every other weekend.
• RTO greater than 7 days requires approval.

This is a Short Term Acute Care Level I Trauma Center with a total of 1,567 staffed beds, utilizing Epic for charting. We are committed to providing a supportive environment where nurses can thrive. Parking is available at a cost of $125/month.
