Job Summary:
X-ray Technologist position in Springfield at a healthcare facility. This role involves performing radiographic procedures and dual modality imaging, including computed tomography (CT) and X-ray exams. Candidates must possess strong IV skills and be capable of working independently in a fast-paced environment during night shifts.
Job Details:
- Certifications: Active American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS), American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) - Computed Tomography (CT), and RT - Radiography certifies.
- Education/Experience: Minimum of 0 years of experience; preferred 2 or more years. Must have an active VA State license at the time of submittal.
- Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Responsibilities include performing common studies such as head, abdominal, pelvic, angio, extremities, chest (port), and routine exams.
- Department equipment includes EPIC electronic medical records (EMR), Fuji Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS), GE CT units, and Philips X-ray units.
- Coverage requirements: Backup on-call one weekend per month, one major holiday, and one minor holiday preferred. On-call response time is approximately 45 minutes.
- Additional information: Experience with PACS Visage, CT (GE), and X-ray units (Philips). The position is limited to CT and X-ray imaging at the Springfield Healthplex only.
- Orientation will be provided specific to the floor.
- Shift expectations include working during night hours with occasional on-call and weekend shifts as needed. The hospital has cancellation policies allowing limited shift cancellations without penalty.
