Description

American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist for a night shift contract requiring ARRT certification and Washington State radiologic technologist registration.

Details

  • CT Scanning Services department
  • Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts, Friday through Sunday, 1900-0730
  • 36 hours per week
  • No call requirement
  • Uses Toshiba CT scanner, Shimadzu portable, Rad Speed Pro, and GE/OEC C-arms with OR experience
  • Documents in Epic EMR

Requirements

  • ARRT certification required
  • Washington State certification as radiologic technologist, registered in X-Ray and CT (license required if applicable)
  • Current BLS certification
  • Experience with Shimadzu portable, Rad Speed Pro, GE/OEC C-arms with OR experience, and Toshiba CT scanner required
  • Epic EMR experience required
  • Ability to lift and transfer patients using safe ergonomic techniques

Additional Information

  • Prepares for and performs CT examinations while operating equipment safely
  • Evaluates diagnostic images for technical quality
  • Develops, initiates, and monitors procedures for effective scanner utilization
  • Maintains cleanliness of scanner and equipment per infection control policies
  • Performs IV access using sterile technique and administers contrast media under physician supervision
  • Follows universal blood and body substance precautions and PPE requirements
  • Completes required documentation for each examination performed
  • Communicates with patients' family members or caregivers as needed
